It's this quote - "The war in Iraq, the loss of American lives, has deeply affected him. He takes every soldier's life personally. It has left him emotionally drained." - that lets you know that the story is bullshit.
Yeah, you sort of vaguely wonder if Karl Rove planted the story in order to make Bush look a little more sympathetic. Although I suppose if it had been him he would probably also have framed some Democrat for leaking the story, so he could simultaneously make it look like they were slandering the President. You must admit that the man is a genius.
