And yet it's pretty wrong.
(Aside: I love Slate's headline writers. That one's called "Mean Girls.")
ACK! I feel like a dumbass for missing the mean/median thing, I'm usually all over that. But, the second part of that Slate article says that at least some of the studies she talks about are talking about the mean, so math still triumphs in the end.
